Edwin Hebert Woodard of Marshall, Harrison County, Texas United States was born on March 8, 1930 in Palestine, Anderson County to Clyde Woodard and Mary Myrtle Nicholson Woodard. He had a brother Charles Ray Woodard. He married Robbie Jeannette Broker, and had children Mary Karyn Woodard and Andrew Edwin Woodard. Edwin Woodard died at age 78 years old on March 14, 2008 in Longview, Gregg County, and was buried on March 18, 2008.

    He joined the marines after high school and went to Korea. He came back home and went to Stephen F Austin University for two years and then Texas A & M for two years where he graduated from.

    He graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in Accounting. After graduating he went to work at the Purina Plant in Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee. In 1960 they moved to Marshall, Harrison, Texas to work at the coal plant as head accountant and plant manager.
