Eize Shesler Booi was born on March 4, 1925 in Amsterdam, Bates, Missouri to parents Herman Eize Booi (1901-1992) and Edna Bell Shesler (1903-1987). He had a brother Robbert Gene Booi (1926-1926) who did not survive, and a half sister Laura Alice Booi (1943-1969). In the 1930's Eize moved to Monmouth, Polk, Oregon, USA. He joined the US military on June 30, 1943 and in December of that year, he married Mallia Marie Stanfield (1928-2009) on December 20, 1946 in Baldwin Park, Los Angeles, California, USA where the couple resided from the 1940's through the 1970's. Together Eize and Mallia had a son, Eize Lester Booi (1955-1957).
