Introduction

The Ovens and Murray Advertiser, Beechworth. 25th April 1896. A wedding, in which considerable interest was taken, took place at Cudgewa, on the 8th inst. The contracting parties were Mr. Archibald Gay, second son of Mr. Samuel Gay, of Thougla Creek, and Miss Eleanor Briggs, third daughter of Mr. James Briggs, J.P. of Cudgewa.

Obituary

The Border Morning Mail and Riverina Times.(Albury, N.S.W. ) 24th October. 1911. CORRYONG. Mrs. Archie Gay, a very well known and highly respected resident of this district, died on Friday at the cottage hospital, after about a week's illness. Great sympathy is felt on all sides for her husband, who is left with 6 young children. The youngest child is only 6 days of age. Mrs. Gay was the daughter of the late Mr. Briggs, of Cudgewa, and sister to Messrs., Neil, William, Angus, James, and John Briggs, also to to Mrs. John Campbell, Mrs. Samuel Gay, and Nurse Viney.
