She married Alfred William Ridgwell, and had children Dorothy (Ridgwell ) Gordon and Edna (Ridgwell) Whitehead. Eliza Ridgwell died at age 85 years old in 1976 at Montrose VIC, Australia in Montrose, Yarra Ranges Shire County, VIC Australia.

In 1891, in the year that Eliza Frances Hayes (Morris) Ridgwell was born, from March 9th through the 12th, a blizzard hit the south and west of England. Called the Great Blizzard of 1891, it led to snow drifts of up to 15 feet and killed 200 people and 6,000 animals. Fourteen ships sank.
