She married James Bennie in 1891, and had children Stanley James Bennie, Alfred Henry Bennie, Raymond John Bennie, and Rita May Bennie. Elizabeth Bennie died at age 76 years old on January 11, 1946 in Carlton, City of Melbourne County.
