Elizabeth (Perry) Shepherd was born in 1835 in Alton Priors, Wiltshire County, England United Kingdom to Stephen Perry and Eliza Tarrant, and had a brother George Perry. She was in a relationship with Timothy Shepherd, and had children Harriett Eliza (Shepherd) Aitken Drysdale, Ernest William Shepherd, Lena Catherine (Shepherd) Gilbert, John Shepherd, and Hannah Shepherd. Elizabeth Shepherd died at age 41 years old on August 19, 1877 in Wallan, Mitchell Shire County, VIC Australia, and was buried in 1877 in Broadford.
