She was married to Stephen Charles Kelcey, and had children Stephen Thomas Kelcey, George Cooper Kelcey, Frederick Henry Kelcey, Linda Victoria Kelcey, Frank Delyall Kelcey, Arthur Raymond Kelcey, and Alan Keith Reginald Kelcey. Emily Kelcey died at age 89 years old on April 10, 1952 in Northcote, City of Darebin County, VIC, and was buried at Brighton General Cemetery in Caulfield South, City of Glen Eira County.

She was born on December 10, 1862 in Port Sorell, Tasmania, Australia and had siblings Sarah Ann (1856-1878), Samuel Arthur (1857-1859), Friend (1860-1943), Thomas Oliver (1865-1896), M Riley (born 1867), Henry Albert (1867-1911), Fanny (1869-1956), Mary (1870-1871), Charlotte Emma (1872-1935), Rachel Elizabeth (1874-1954), William James (1876-1976), Lucy (1878-1888), George Abel (1880-1965), and Emma May Riley (1882-1904). On September 9, 1880, she married Stephen Charles Kelcey (1859-1922) in Port Sorell, Tasmania, Australia. Together they had children Emma Elizabeth (1882-1885), Charles Edward (1884-1885), Stephen Thomas George (1887-1942), Frederick Henry (1889-1915), George Cooper (1889-1944), Linda Victoria (1892-1919), Frank De-Lyall (1894-1942), Percy William Roy (1898-1908), Arthur Raymond (1900-1907), Albert John Landon (1903-1907), and Alan Keith Reginald Kelcey (1908-1952).
