She married William Wardley Mowforth, and had children Gordon Webster Mowforth and Thorna Olga Mowforth. Emily Mowforth died at age 72 years old on December 14, 1951 in Albany, City of Albany County, Western Australia, and was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, Albany, Western Australia in Centennial Park.
