I have an old studio photograph of Emogene INGERSOLL of Valley City, ND which appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's. Emogene is likely in her teens or 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Emogene and her family:

Emogene or Emma Jean INGERSOLL was b. 27 Jul 1868 in Bergen, NY to parents Henry Mortimer INGERSOLL (1827-1895) and Mary Ann CALDWELL or COLWELL (1837-1888 or 1889) who were married in 1851. Emogene was one of 5 children born to this couple including Delia Elnora; Lura or Laura “Lena” D.; A. Adelaide; Bertha M.; and Emogene INGERSOLL, all born between 1854 and 1868.

Emogene married Edward or Eduard Virgil “Tubby” WINTERER (1861-1943) on 28 Oct 1891 in Minneapolis, MN and they had four children including Horace Kenneth; Galen Ingersoll; Edward Virgil “Tubby”; and Irving Hiliare WINTERER, all born between 1893 and 1901. Emogene died 13 Mar 1940 in Los Angeles, CA and is buried in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, CA.

I am hoping to get this treasure back to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
