    Enzo Vincent Zappavigna was born to parents Vincent Zappavigna and Elvira Zappavigna. He had siblings including Ines Zappavigna (1925-1945), Lelia Zappavigna (1926-1983), Mario V. Zappavigna (1928-2010), and Remo Eugene Zappavigna (1933-2008). He was born and raised in Chicago, Cook, Illinois and attended Thornton Township High School (Harvey, Illinois, USA) in 1943. Enzo served in the US Air Force from July 13, 1945 until his discharge on December 31, 1946. On May 3, 1952 he married Lillian Chiaro (1926–2012) in Chicago, IL. They had three boys and one girl together. In the 1990's he moved to Flower Mound, Texas, USA and on February 17, 2000 Enzo Zappavigna passed away in Flower Mound, Denton County, Texas.

Vincent passed away on December 7, 1937 in Markham, IL. His mother, Elvira Zappavigna, was born on January 20, 1908 in Ardore, Italy. She immigrated to the US arriving in New York, NY on August 19, 1922. She then resided in Chicago and raised her family there. Elvira passed away on April 19, 1979 in Cook, Illinois. Her parents, Enzo's maternal grandparents were Vincenzo Zappavigna (born May 25, 1874) from Ardore Italy and Maria antonia Napoli (born 1877-) in Italy.
