Eric Rice died at age 6 years old on April 15, 1912 at North Atlantic ocean, and was buried on April 15, 1912 at North Atlantic Ocean.

Eric Rice boarded with his mother and 4 brothers as 3rd class. During the sinking, the family was last seen clinging the stern (like the Palsson family). Eric's body was never recovered.

Eric boarded Titanic as 3rd class with his mother Margeret and brothers Albert (10) George (8) Arthur (4) Eugene (2). His father perished from a railway accident in 1910 in Quebec, Canada. The ship struck an iceberg at 11:45 pm on April 14, 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean and sank by splitting in two at 2:20 am. Eric sadly perished in the sinking with his mother and brothers. Most lifeboats refused to come back to the ship because the passengers did not want to get swamped.
