Ernest Henderson Rose was born in 1865 to Emma (Lear) Rose and William Edwin Rose, and had siblings Albert Newton Rose, Gertrude Rose, and Florence Emma (Rose) Bennett. He married Lavinia (Bennetts) Rose, and had children Phyllis Gertrude (Rose) Hill and Albert Newton Rose. Ernest Rose died at age 89 years old on March 8, 1955 in Ballarat, Ballarat City County, VIC Australia, and was buried on March 10, 1955 at Ballarat Old Cemetery in Ballarat Central.
