He married Sarah Elizabeth (Faul) Bolger, and had children Ernest Sidney Faul Bolger, Frederick Vernon Faul Bolger, and Garnet John Faul Bolger. Ernest Bolger died at age 83 years old on June 8, 1936 in Malvern, City of Stonnington County, VIC Australia.
