Esther Lorraine (Frey) Husson was born on Sunday; July 8, 1923 in Mingo; Jasper County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Loyd and Myrtle (Meckley) Frey. Esther graduated from Colfax High School in 1941. On Friday; February 8, 1946 she was united in marriage to Alfred D. Husson in Colfax. A life long resident of Colfax. Esther worked for Iowa Power for 25 years, retiring in 1985. A 60 year member of First Baptist Church, Esther was active in the Ladies Mission Group and Sewing Group. She especially enjoyed painting, ceramics and flowers. Esther Lorraine Husson, 83, of Colfax, Iowa passed away on Tuesday; February 13, 2007 in Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville; Polk County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Douglas Husson of Lilburn; Gwinnett County, Georgia. Kathy Lubow and her husband Dale of Ames; Story County, Iowa. Jeanine Sage and her husband Joel of Colfax; Jasper County, Iowa and Mark Husson and his wife Renee of Colfax. Nine grandchildren, Justin Husson and his wife Jennifer, Jeffrey Lubow and his wife Anna, April Dose and her husband Sam, Kari Lubow, T. Ryan Lamb and his wife Heather, Jennifer Brown and her husband Cyle, Brandon Lamb, Ross Husson and Nicolette Husson, five great grandchildren, Esther Grace, Elias, Caden, Jocelyn and Caylee, a sister, Ruth Runyan and her husband Warren of New Port Richey; Pasco County, Florida. A daughter in law, Cindy Husson of Atlanta; DeKalb County, Georgia and two sisters-in-law, Tillie Husson of Moline; Rock Island County, Illinois and Geraldine Holland of Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alfred in 1988, a sister, Berdine McDonald and two brothers, Wayne Frey and Dale Frey. May they rest in peace. Visitation for Esther will be held on Friday; February 16, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday; February 17, 2007 at the Colfax First Baptist Church starting at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in the Colfax Cemetery.
