Esther graduated from Colfax High School in 1941. On Friday; February 8, 1946 she was united in marriage to Alfred D. Husson in Colfax. A life long resident of Colfax. Esther worked for Iowa Power for 25 years, retiring in 1985. A 60 year member of First Baptist Church, Esther was active in the Ladies Mission Group and Sewing Group. She especially enjoyed painting, ceramics and flowers. Esther Lorraine Husson, 83, of Colfax, Iowa passed away on Tuesday; February 13, 2007 in Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville; Polk County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Douglas Husson of Lilburn; Gwinnett County, Georgia. Kathy Lubow and her husband Dale of Ames; Story County, Iowa. Jeanine Sage and her husband Joel of Colfax; Jasper County, Iowa and Mark Husson and his wife Renee of Colfax. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alfred in 1988, a sister, Berdine McDonald and two brothers, Wayne Frey and Dale Frey. May they rest in peace. Visitation for Esther will be held on Friday; February 16, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday; February 17, 2007 at the Colfax First Baptist Church starting at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in the Colfax Cemetery. Doug Husson, 72, died on May 28, 2020. Doug was born on April 9, 1948 to Alfred and Esther Husson. He grew up in Colfax, IA and graduated from Colfax Community High School in 1966. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. Doug enjoyed the outdoors. Whether it was hunting and fishing or huddled around a BBQ pit cooking for 50, he loved being outside. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. In the end, he loved watching his grandsons playing lacrosse and basketball. Doug is survived by his son, Justin Husson; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Husson; grandsons, Grady Husson and Parker Husson; former wife, Cindy Lundquist; brother, Mark Husson; sisters, Jeanine Sage and Kathy Lubow; and best friend, Bill Spicer.
