Eva Clarice (Hurstfield) Harris of Altona, City of Hobsons Bay County, VIC Australia was born on October 30, 1897 in Ararat, Ararat Rural City County to Randle Hurstfield and Sarah Mcpherson Hurstfield. She had siblings Charlotte Alice Hurstfield, Theresa Hurstfield Beard, Alfred Donald Hurstfield, Dulcie Sarah Hurstfield, Randle Hurstfield, and Emma Elizabeth Hurstfield. Eva Harris married George Henry Harris in 1921, and died at age 87 years old on October 5, 1985 in Altona, City of Hobsons Bay County.

In 1934, at the age of 37 years old, Eva was alive when on July 22nd, gangster John Dillinger was killed in Chicago. His gang had robbed banks and police stations, among other charges, and he was being hunted by J. Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI - although many in the public saw him as a "Robin Hood". A madam from a brothel in which he was hiding became an informer for the FBI and, after a shootout with FBI agents, Dillinger was shot and died.
