Florence Ada (Forster) Hawking was born in 1876 in Kew, Boroondara City County, VIC Australia to Robert Forster and Charlotte (Ragg) Forster, and had siblings Martha (Forster) Antrobus, Walter Forster, Sarah (Forster) Safstrom, Clara Annie (Forster) Keightley, and Alfred Forster. She married Edward Merrifull Hawking, and they were married until death separated them. Florence Hawking died at age 81 years old on October 29, 1958 in Euroa, Strathbogie Shire County, and was buried at Kyabram Cemetery, Lancaster Rd, in Kyabram, Campaspe Shire County.
