    Mrs. John E. Vaughn nee Frances Thomson August 3, 1923 - April 6, 2015 Mrs. John E. Vaughn, nee Frances Thomson of Fredericksburg, Texas, passed away in the Knopp Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Fredericksburg on Monday, April 6, 2015, at the age of 91 years. Frances was born Aug. 3, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to Frank D. and Willie Proctor Thomson. She married John E. Vaughn on June 25, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mrs. Vaughn is survived by one daugh - ter, Carol Eichler, of Louisiana; and two grandchildren, Heather Crenwelge Lewis and her hus - band, Brian, and Kris Crenwelge; and one great-grandchild, Angellei Rose Lewis. Along with her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Crenwelge. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 9, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home, with the Rev. D.G. McCoury officiating. Visitation was held beforehand. Graveside services and interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers included Ricky Castillo, David Novian, Doc Goff, David Wiemers and Kris Crenwelge. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church, or to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent at www.schaetter.com
