  • Introduction

    Frank was b. 5 Jan 1844 in Newton Corner, MA to parents Dr. Charles JEWETT (1807-1879) and Lucy Ann Adams TRACY (1811-1898). Frank was one of 14 children born to this couple including Charles; William Adams; Richard Henry Lee; Levi Nelson; Lucy Tracy; John Hampden; Frank; Sarah Elizabeth; Twin Baby Boys; Elizabeth Standish; William Parker; Mary Louisa; and Anna “Annie” Maria JEWETT, all born between 1831 and 1851. It appears that his father married a second time and had two additional children including Homer D.; and Ella V. JEWETT, born between 1858 and 1861. Frank married Sarah Frances “Fanny” GULICK or GURLICK (1854-1937) on 30 Jun 1880 in Yokohama, Japan and they had a son, Charles JEWETT (1894-1894). Frank retired from teaching in 1912 and he died 1 Jul 1926 in Honolulu Co., HI and his ashes are interred in the Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin, OH.
