He was a proud, intelligent, self-sacrificing, brave, courageous, kind and loving son, husband, father, sibling, friend and USA Naval Commander who served on the USS Enterprise, CV-6, aircraft carrier during the Pacific Theater during World War II. He received two silver stars, 4 bronze stars and a Presidential Commendation letter from the US President for his service. Later he was executive officer of the USA Maury until he retired. His career spanned over twenty-eight years and he had an exemplary record.
