SURRY - Fred W. Curtis, 78, husband of the late Marjorie P. Curtis, passed away peacefully Feb. 11, 2014, surrounded by his family. Fred was born May 20, 1935, to Jesse and Helen Curtis. He grew up in Blue Hill with his brothers, the late James Curtis, the late Ronnie Curtis, Stanley Curtis of Surry and Roland and wife, Ruth Curtis, of Blue Hill. Fred worked as a caretaker for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family. Many people will remember spending time at the kitchen table of Fred and Marjorie's home in Surry, telling stories and reminiscing over a cup of coffee or a cold beer. Fred is survived by his sons, James and wife, Janice Curtis, of Woodland, Blaine and wife, Debbie Davis, of Blue Hill, and Bob and wife, Suzette Davis, of Surry; daughters, Vivian and husband, Chris Tinker, of Perry, Elizabeth and husband, William Knight, of Dover Foxcroft, Susan and husband, Fred Thompson, of Bucksport, and Sherry and husband, Donald Saunders, of Ellsworth; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.ADVERTISEMENT BYLooking for more information?
