Frederick Cudmore Furnell was born in 1861 at Emerald Hill in South Melbourne, Port Phillip City County, VIC Australia to William Cudmore Furnell and Ann (Sergeant) Furnell, and had siblings Mary Jane Furnell and William Furnell. He was in a relationship with Delia Bridget (Corless) Furnell, and had children Lucy Hilda (Furnell) Hutchinson, Delia Ellen (Furnell) Bade, Walter Corless Furnell, and Albert Edward Furnell. Frederick Furnell died at age 76 years old in 1937 at Middle Brighton in Brighton, City of Bayside County.
