Fred Thomas Chettle was born in 1919 to Elizabeth Sarah"Dot"Greenaway ( Newell ( Chettle ( Smye and Walter Thomas Chettle, and had a brother Walter Henry 'Harry' Chettle. Fred Chettle married Florence Ada Chettle ( McDonald, and died at age 60 years old in 1979.

    Twin brother of Walter Henry. The Sydney Morning Herald, 20 June 1942. CHETTLE - MCDONALD.- The engagement is announced of Florence Ada, youngest daughter of Warrant Officer A. G. McDonald ( A.T.C. ) and Mrs. McDonald of Terminus Street, Liverpool, N.S.W., to Frederick Thomas, ( 2nd A.I.F., returned ), only son of the late Walter Thomas Chettle ( 1st A.I.F. ) and Mrs. Newell, Wanalta Road, Glen Huntly, Victoria.

They failed. Hitler was charged with treason and convicted, receiving a sentence of 5 years. He served under 1 year in jail.
