Gail Cynthia Joseph was born in Lakewood, New Jersey, to William Jacob Joseph (1926-2009) and Sydelle Friedland (1930-1962). She had three siblings. Gail was married to William A Joseph (born 1958) in Cincinnati, Ohio, and they divorced on February 7, 1985. Gail worked as a former NBC publicist, specifically in the comedy division of the television show "Friends." Sadly, she passed away a few weeks before the airing of the episode titled "The One with Ross' Teeth." This episode, which is the 8th episode of the sixth season, aired on November 18, 1999, and was dedicated to Gail Joseph. She graduated from Ewing High School in New Jersey and then attended the Actor's School in New York City before working for two years at NBC and CBS. Later, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she served as a publicist at the Nancy Selzer Agency, worked with Garry Shandling, and held the position of comedy division manager for Electronic Publicity NBC in Burbank, California. The circumstances surrounding Gail's death remain unknown. There is speculation that her body was found in a wooded area near the Delaware River and that she may have died from strangulation. A graduate of Ewing High School, she attended the Actor's School, New York City, and worked two years for NBC and CBS. She was a publicist at Nancy Selzer Agency, Los Angeles, and worked for Garry Shandling. She was a comedy division manager for Electronic Publicity NBC, Burbank. Daughter of the late Sydelle Friedland Joseph, she is survived by her parents, William and Edith Joseph of Ewing, N.J.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Carmela Joseph of Jackson, N.J., Harlan and JoAnn Joseph of Bensalem, Pa., Saul and Rabbi Shira Joseph of Yardley, Pa., and Dr. Kenneth and Vivian Gaits Hoffman of Teaneck, N.J.; a sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Brett Neuhauser of Scotch Plains, N.J.; and other relatives. Memorial contributions may be made to Har Sinai Temple, 491 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, N.J. 08618.
