    On August 18, 1927 Geobra Pearless Thompson (Skip) was born in Helena, AR to Kate Nell Davis and Pearless (Pete) Thompson. He grew up in Memphis, TN and Biscoe, AK. During his time on earth, be lived a vibrant life. Each day he rose before sunrise. He could sing and play the piano. He loved sports ad was a pretty good basketball player in his day. He loved to put smiles on the faces of his family and friends. He was the "Redd Fox" of the Thompson family. He enjoyed life, his family and his friends. He served in the United States Army Airforce during the WW2 era and received an honorable discharge. During his service he traveled the states and overseas and was stationed in Okinawa. He met Georgia Gray from Biscoe, AR and they married and later moved to Youngstown, OH. Through their union, he became the proud father of four daughters. He worked at the youngstown Sheet and Tube Company until March 1959. He relocated to St. Louis, MO where he worked at Scullin Steel Mill. A hip injury disabled him but it didn't damper his spirit. He still managed to work at collecting aluminum until his health began to fail in Ma;y 2002. As a young adult, Geobra confessed his belief in God and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He was baptized by the late Pastor Rev. Carter of Shiloh Baptish Church in St. Louis, MO. He was a good man who loved his family and friends. On March 11, 2003 Geobra departed this life. He leaves to celebrate his 75 years of life and love: daugters' mother - Georgia THompson Pinkney (William); daughters - Valerie Thompson Wilson and Johanne Thompson (St. Louis, MO), Darlene Thompson White (Las Vegas, NV) and Virginia Thompson McCollough)(Adelanto, CA); son - David Robinson (Studtyard, AR); step-father - O.L. Shaeffer (Memphis, TN); brothers - Almon Thompson (Atlanta, GA), Darnell Thompson (Los Angeles, CA) and Alfred Thompson (Riverside, CA); sister - Annie Mae McCollough (Riverside, CA); grandchildren - Robert Wilson (Rhonda), Brian Wilson (April), Gerald Robinson (TT), Jennifer Thompson (St. Louis, MO), Rayna, Georgia & Tiffany McCollough (Adelanto, CA), Diamohn & Marcie White (Los Angeles, CA) and a host of other beloved family and friends.
