    The following appeared in Florida Today (Cocoa, Florida) 19 August 1998, Wed. Page 17 George Vinuya George Vinuya, age 66, of Rockledge, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at Wuesthoff Hospital. George was born in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, he came to Brevard County in 1981 from Broward County. He was a retired Staff Sgt. Veteran of 23 years for the U.S. Marine Corps. George was a member of VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and Professional Association of Diving Instructors. He was a Horticulturist, enjoyed painting and carving, fishing, and enjoyed cooking. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Ruth Vinuya, Rockledge, Florida; four sons, George K. Vinuya, Jr., Shoreline, Washington, Matthew Vinuya, Gordon Vinuya, and Chris Vinuya; four daughters, Tina Heber, Oregon, Iris Smith, Battlecreek, Michigan, Amy Vinuya and Trudy. Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 22, 1998 at Universal Light Chapel on Merritt Island. Florida Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
