He had siblings Herbert Vivian Shugg, John Samuel Shugg, Myrtle Shugg, Louisa Jane Shugg, Minnie Eliza Shugg, Doris Rose Shugg, Walter Roberts Shugg, Bessie Gladys Shugg, Edna Jean Shugg, Olive May (Shugg) Belcher, Albert Roy James Shugg, Barbara Ann Shugg, and Alexander Greer Shugg. George Shugg died at age 89 years old on November 9, 1998.
