WEIR. - In loving remembrance of our dear brother, Private George Weir, killed in action in France on the 20th September, 1917, aged 36 years (late of Pyalong and Tooborac.) A gallant hero, true and brave, Now peacefully sleeps in a soldier's grave. Great was the blow, but God knew best When He took dear George to His home of rest. We pictured your safe return, dear George, And longed for the clasp of your hand, But never will be the greeting In Australia's sunny land. Loved by all who knew him. -(Inserted by his loving brother and sister-in- law, Ella and Thomas Todd, also his loving niece and nephew, Lilian and Tom Todd.) From ‘The Argus’ Melbourne. 20th September 1918
