He was the parent of Robert William Allamby. He married Edith Mary (Quinn) Allamby, and they had children Kenneth George Allamby and Robert William Allamby. George Allamby died at age 71 years old on January 5, 1951 in Saint Kilda East, and was buried on January 8, 1951 at Cheltenham Memorial Park Wangara road, in Cheltenham.
