Trudie was born in Moundsville, West Virginia, to Charles and Pleasy Jane Sherick. She lost her mother at the age of 10, and her father had difficulty caring for the children, and Trudie eventually moved into her older sister's home by age 14. She met her future husband, James Hill, at age 16, and they married in 1946. She had her first child, Victor in 1956, and 2 years to the day, her daughter, Rebecca was born in 1958. James passed away unexpectedly in 1972, due to a heart attack on his way to work at Fisher Body. After losing James, she met Walter V. Bean and moved into his Kirtland, Ohio home a few years later. She spent the rest of her life living in Kirtland, with Walter. For many years, Walter's son, Robert, and granddaughter, Tanya Lynn, lived in the Kirtland home, with Trudie helping to raise Tanya, after she tragically lost her mother, Betty Lou, to a violent man, in 1973. Trudie had a wonderful sense of humor, loved coffee, and loved her children and grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn and Matthew Lee. Though keeping a certain decorum about herself, she was not afraid to speak her mind. She has been missed so much and always thought of lovingly by her family.
