Carroll D. Akridge
Carroll D. Akridge
Carroll and Harold were on leave together probably sometime either in 1947 or 1948. Always practical jokers and fun-loving, they decided to have their picture made at a photographer's studio. The background in the picture is a backdrop. They knew that their mother, Nora, would not approve of them being in a bar (see the Wiskey [sic] sign over Harold's shoulder) so the purposely selected this background to poke fun at her. She was not amused, I was told.
