Hazel belonged to the congregation of Pastor Rasbach's Hope Lutheran Church in Hollywood, CA, where funeral services were held, and was burried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA. Countless friends and family members attended to pay their respects and say goodbye to their dear friend, beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

No, Hazel Fladseth was not born into the Fladseth family name. She was born in 1900 (on the 4th or the 1st of September), Hazel Charlotte Peterson, the youngest of 14 children. She married Lorren Jay (or Joseph) Fladseth (called L.J.) and they had 3 children, Jay Lorren (or Lorren Jay), Donald Curwood and Audrey Lois. The family started out in Fargo, North Dakota, and later moved to Seattle, Washington. All three of L.J. and Hazel's children married and had two or more children of their own, who collectively produced at least 6 grandchildren, and eventuated to Southern California. Jay, Don and Audre are since deceased.
