  • Introduction

    Heather's social security card was issued in the state of Colorado sometime between 1989 and 1992. Heather was found murdered near a girlfriend's home. She was strangled, hit by a blunt instrument, and stabbed 35 times. She had snuck out the window of her friends' home and later that morning her body was found - ditched along a country road. Just after the murder, the only suspect was Antonio Flores, 17. A 14 year old friend of Antonio's told police that Antonio recruited him to dispose of Heather's body. Some people said that Heather and Antonio were boyfriend and girlfriend - those who had seen them together - while her family objected to the idea. In June of 2002, Flores was arraigned and he maintained his innocence.
