She was married to Walter Marion Lojeski in 1938 in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County, and they were together until Walter's death on September 4, 1965 in Hatboro. She had children Zita Helen Kozuhowski and Walter John Lojeski. Helen Lojeski died at age 50 years old on October 10, 1968 in Hatboro, Montgomery County, and was buried on October 15, 1968 at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery 1215 Super Highway, in Langhorne, Bucks County.

While it was rumored that two of the children had survived, it was later proven through DNA analysis - when their bodies were found - that the entire family had been killed.

In 1920, she was only 2 years old when on November 2, radio station KDKA began broadcasting in Pittsburgh, PA. This was the first commercial radio broadcast in the United States. Westinghouse, a leading manufacturer of radios and the backer of the station, chose the date because of the Presidential election. People liked it because they could hear about the results of the election between Harding and Cox before the morning papers arrived. Four years later, there were 600 commercial stations broadcasting in the U.S.
