    Serve 25 years as a career Navy man as a Chief Aviation Structural Mechanic. You was assigned to the USS Lexington (CV-2), USS Ranger (CV-4), USS Pine Island and principally at North Island Naval Air Station an NAAS Brown field in San Diego. He also served at Memphis Tennessee the three years at NAS Memphis as a structural mechanic instructor and finally as a drill instructor at naval recruit center San Diego.

    Grandpa was a retired US Navy Chief who served in world war II and Korea. Married to his wife Edith and had two sons William and Jack.

    Grandpa was part of the US fleet reserve.
