He married Mary Anne Willerson (1840-1910) in 1856 in Victoria, Australia and had children together: Alice (1858-1949), Lillie (1859-1860), Thomas Jefferson (1861-1955), George Washington (1862-1936), Jessie (1868-1871), and Henry Franklin Hyslop (1873-1928). On January 19, 1892, Henry Thomas Hyslop passed away in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia.
