Introduction

My grandma, who had the middle name Mae was the sweetest lady I have ever known, she was suffering from terminal breast cancer and still got down on the floor to help me put Avon lipstick samples on my lips. She was also a horrible cook! LOL! She burnt pancakes and toast, and undercooked hamburgers, but could bake a mean cookie. She drank cranberry juice and sprite with frozen lemon wedges in it and made a garden salad from wild onion, watercress, and apples. She taught me to make French knots on embroidered pillowcases and I can still do them today. She was an amazing woman.

Ila Mae Hansen had two children. Betty Louiscille and Ernest William (Bill),. She had a step-granddaughter Vickie, a grandaughter Ila Louiscille and a grandson Ernest Owen Hansen. She was married to Owen T Hansen. She was laid to rest in a pink coffin in a pink long-sleeve satin dress because pink was her favorite color.
