    Jacob Levy Amoshawski (Ameshufski) was born in Russia, Poland in 1859 to Hershel and Rachel Amoshawski. He was a Tailor by trade. Jacob married Rachel Wartzki on 12th June, 1889 in Garden Street, Geelong, Victoria, Australia and Immigrated to USA by March 1890. Jacob had two children - Janette born 30th March, 1890 who died 12 days later of Cholera, and Herbert Zarie who was born in 1897 in Manhattan, New York.
