Rachel had two sisters, Marian (Mary) who arrived at Ellis Island on September 15, 1893), Hanchen (Ada) who married Abraham Jacob Feuerman, (Verger at St. Kilda Synagogue, Victoria, Australia), and a brother Isidore who married Cecelia Freedman in Victoria, Australia. Rachel married Jacob Levy Amoshawski (Ameshufski) in Garden Street, Geelong, Victoria, Australia on 12th June, 1889 and immigrated to USA by March 1890. She had three children: Janette born 30th March, 1890 who died at 12 days old of Cholera at 130 Norfolk Street, New York City: Abraham was born Oct-November 1893 and he died 9 months later and was buried 24th July, 1894. Both children were buried in Queens, New York: and Herbert Zarie who was born on 2nd May, 1897 in Manhattan, New York.
