Introduction

James Arthur Kriesel's father was Louis Karl Julius Kriesel (1891 - 1958) and his mother was Mae Levasseur (1895 - 1973). He had two brothers, one of which was Ralph (1927 - 2002) and the other was Frye. When James was 3, he was living with his parents and siblings in Stillwater on Myrtle Street. His father Louis, the only one working in the household, was a "millwright" in a foundry. A veteran of World War II, James served in the United States Navy, enlisting on June 14, 1945 and being discharge on August 9, 1946. Because he was a veteran, he was buried in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. James married Beverly Jean McCain (1931 - 1998) on June 10, 1950 in Bayport, Minnesota. They didn't have children.
