    James McSparron's father was John Francis McSparron (1894 - 1942) and his mother was Mary Anne Feeney (1895 - 1974). He had siblings John, Anna, William, Mary, Kathleen, Eileen, plus 3 more sisters listed as private because they are living. In 1940, James, who was age 8, was living in Philadelphia PA and attending school (he was in the 3rd grade). Besides the McSparron family, there were several lodgers in the household. James married actress Sue Randall (born Marion Burnside Randall) and they had 2 sons from her first marriage, Blake and Kenneth. In the late 1950s thru the 1960s, Sue had appeared on many tv shows: she played Beaver's teacher on "Leave It To Beaver" (for 4 years) and also acted on "Gilligan's Island", "Hazel", "My Three Sons", "Bonanza", "I Spy", "Sea Hunt", "Perry Mason", and "77 Sunset Strip". She then left California and moved to Philadelphia where she participated in telethons and other local events to help raise money to support programs and research battling arthritis, multiple sclerosis, blindness, and poor childhood education. IMDb biography for Sue Randall
Sue Randall was an actress who was born in 1935. Her primary roles were television instead of motion pictures with Desk Set (1957) being her only silver screen appearance. Sue's TV appearances were mostly guest roles in programs such as The Twilight Zone (1959), The Fugitive (1963), Bonanza (1959) and Gunsmoke (1955). Perhaps Sue is best remembered as the grade school teacher "Miss Landers" in Leave It to Beaver (1957). She appeared on the series, occasionally, from 1958-1962. She made no other roles before the cameras after an I Spy (1965) episode in 1965. This beautiful actress contracted lung cancer and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 26, 1984. Sue was 49 years old.

Trivia:

Ms. Randall's father was an internationally known real estate consultant. Her stage debut was at the age of 10 in an Alden Park Players' production of "Dear Ruth". She graduated with honors from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

Actively supported numerous charitable organizations and social welfare programs, including the Multiple Sclerosis Telethon, Reading for the Blind and Project Headstart.

Had 2 sons with her ex-husband Peter Blake Powell - Blake Powell and Kenneth Powell.

Was a heavy smoker for years and eventually was diagnosed with lung and larynx cancer in 1982. Following treatments for the malignancies, including the removal of her larynx, she died in Philadelphia on October 26, 1984 just 2 weeks after her 49th birthday. In accordance with her wishes, her body was donated for medical science to the Humanity Gifts Registry in Philadelphia.

She was a lifelong liberal Democrat.
