James Harrison Jones was born on May 14, 1845 to Daniel Jones and Nancy McQuinn, and had siblings William Jones, Henry Jones, America Jones, and Permula Jones. He married Sarah Gibbs, and had children Bertha Jones, Henry Jones, Delilah Jones, South Jones, Daniel Jones, Julia Jones, Cassandra Jones, Grover Jones, and James Jones. James Jones died at age 42 years old on October 8, 1887.
