James Alexander Jones 1855 - 1931

James Alexander Jones was born on August 16, 1855 in Union Springs, Bullock County, Alabama USA. He married Sallie (Robinson) Jones on May 28, 1884, and they were married until Sallie's death on October 1, 1897. They had children Julia Jones and Elsie Nellie (Jones) Dinsmore. He married Della (Allison) Jones, and they had a child Lucille V. Jones. James Jones died at age 76 years old on September 4, 1931 in Athens, Henderson County, TX, and was buried at Athens Cemetery in Athens.

Long time community member Roxie is on a mission to reunite old photos with their families. When she finds a photo in an antique shop she purchases it, does research to identify it, and shares her findings on AncientFaces, Ancestry, FamilySearch and Find-a-Grave.

She found this photo in an antique shop in Texas and had little to go on with just a name and the photographer's details. With this information she started investigating and began building his biography

o that family members would find him.
