Jim Dennis
I've "rescued" an old photograph of Jim DENNIS who was the son of Duke DENNIS. The photograph was taken at the W. MacCormac Studio in Clarksville, TN. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Jim appearing to be less than one year old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Jim and his family:
James “Jim” T. DENNIS was born abt 1887 in Tennessee. His father was Marmaduke “Duke” DENNIS or DENNES (1860-1931). Records indicate that he was one of 10 children born to this father including, Infant; James T.; Maurice or Morris Leon; Ione; Ethel; Gillie Bell; Louise Ellen; Lausan; Carrie Gertrude; and Thelma DENNES or DENNIS, all born between 1885 and 1899.
