Obituary for Mrs. Jamie M. (Quealey) Gumb JAMIE M. GUMB LOWELL - Jamie (Quealey) Gumb, lifelong Lowell resident, passed away of metastatic breast cancer on Saturday evening, March 20, 2021 while in the presence of loved ones. She was a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School, received her undergraduate and Master’s Degree from Syracuse University, and from Mass School of Pharmacy. Jamie was driven by a passion to help others and it was clearly reflected in her career. Her first professional job at Merck & Co centered on vaccines. She went on to teach and share her love of biology with students at Lawrence High School and Greater Lowell Tech before following her passion to become a Physician’s Assistant. She worked in orthopedics at Southern New Hampshire Health Solutions in Nashua until her death. The greatest joy of her life was being Addison and William’s mom. Jamie met her beloved husband, Rob, 16 years ago and they started their family in Lowell. She was the best wife and “mummy” that anyone could hope for. She loved summers at Seabrook Beach and taking the kids on winter ski trips. Jamie was fun-loving, intelligent, and an inspiration of how to live life to the fullest for so many. She was the life of the party always, from her college days to her beloved children’s birthdays. Jamie has touched and had a profound impact wherever she went and on whomever she met. She leaves behind the most incredible memories and a community who will carry on her legacy. In addition to her husband, Rob and her children, Addison and William, Jamie is also survived by her parents Charlotte (Peachie) and James Quealey of Lowell, her sister Holly McAnespie and her husband Dan of Lowell and her sister Kerry Ryan and her husband Terry of Westford. Jamie is also survived by her adoring nieces and nephew: Meghan, Hannah, and Molly McAnespie, Matthew, Alexandra, and Emily Ryan and her brother-in-law Chris Gumb of Cambridge. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. GUMB - In Boston, March 20, 2021, Jamie Mary (Quealey) Gumb, 40, the beloved wife of Robert D. Gumb and loving mother of Addison and William.
