  • Introduction

Jarmecca Whitehead also known as "Nikki" by all accounts was a devoted mother who tried her best to do the right thing for her daughters Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah who it seems rejected her. She tried to set rules and boundaries for her daughters who became rebellious teenagers as well as giving them tough love. However, they saw Jarmecca as being a hypocrite citing that she had done the same rebellious teenage acts when she herself was a teenager. Jarmecca is loved and missed by her other family members and friends.

Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Jarmecca

Jarmecca lived with her great grandmother Della Frazier and at the age of 12 her mother, Lynda Whitehead came back into her life. When Jarmecca was a teenager she was a bit rebellious and experimented with marijuana. At the age of 18 on November 27, 1993, she gave birth to identical twin girls. She named them Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah. Their names were shortened to Jas and Tas. Jarmecca was overwhelmed as a young single parent. Jarmecca and her daughters lived with Della Frazier. The twins were honor roll students and were girl scouts. At some point Jarmecca moved to Conyers, Georgia to live with her boyfriend and had her daughters move in with her. At around the age of 13, her daughters were no longer maintaining their school grades and were becoming increasingly defiant. Jarmecca suspected that they were experimenting with drugs and were sexually promiscuous. She did not want her daughters to make the same mistakes she made when she was their age. Jarmecca tried to enforce rules and boundaries. In 2008, Jarmecca was assaulted by her daughters and she had them arrested. The juvenile court gave Della Frazier custody of the girls for 1 year before they were returned back to Jarmecca's custody. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah were not happy. Jasmiyah threatened to kill Jarmecca if she had to live with her. On January, 13, 2010 , Jarmecca was upset with her daughters for waking up late for school and an argument occurred which then erupted into a physical brawl. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah overwhelmed their mother and murdered her. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah were arrested on May 21, 2010 and initially proclaimed their innocence. In 2014 the twins admitted their guilt and are now serving a 30 year prison sentence. Jasmiyah is serving her sentence in Arrendale State Prison and Tasmiyah is serving her sentence in Pulaski State Prison.
