He had siblings Mary Cameron Avery, Marion Cameron Rogers, Ruby Cameron Richardson, Victoria Cameron Ross, and Hugh Cameron. He married Millicent May Weir in 1910, and had children William Charles Cameron and Leslie John Cameron. John Cameron died at age 33 years old on July 15, 1915 in Rainbow.
