Two South Plains teens killed
. . . in crash near Loop
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – Two South Plains teens are dead after a Wednesday afternoon accident near Loop.
The Department of Public Safety tells KCBD NewsChannel 11 the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. one mile east of Loop at the intersection of Highway 83 and County Road 129. DPS says a Chevy pickup went through the intersection and was hit by a Ford van.
The two teens in the pickup, 17-year-old John Dylan Bratcher of Loop and 16-year-old Abraham Remple of Seminole were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van had minor injuries.
Wednesday night members of the Loop community held a vigil to remember the victims.
