John Elton Cox of Spokane, Spokane County, WA was born on September 29, 1949 in Yakima, Yakima County to Mary Ellen Cox and Manly Cox. John Cox had siblings David Cox and William Cox. He married Teena Cox. He would also marry Peggy Lynn Cox, and they had children Nicole Lea Myers, Micheal John Cox, John Elton Cox III, David Cox, and Melanie Cox.
