Introduction

John Joseph Chatlos was born in July of 1919 in Pennsylvania to parents John and Theresa Chatlos. He had older siblings Frederick and Irene and younger siblings George, Elizabeth, Richard, Albert, Paul, Mary, and Virgnia Chatlos. John Chatlos enlisted in the US Army on February 4, 1942 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and was discharged on October 14, 1944. He was a veteran of World War II. John then married Sarah Elizabeth Carothers (1909-1966) on August 9, 1945 in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA. Together they had children Wayne and Marlene Chatlos.
